Goodbye Summer

WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG POST

Unfortunately, this past weekend was our last weekend of summer. Luckily, we had wonderful people to spend it with :) Here was our agenda:

Thursday: Our friend Jake had a pool party at his house with so many people! My brothers, sister, friends... the whole gang was there! We enjoyed playing a few soccer games, then went swimming. The soccer games were a bit brutal for us girls. I went home with at least four new bruises, and Tregani with a broken toe. But, It honestly was such a fun night. I could spend every night with these people. (the people I knew, not the random others I didn't know) It was a fun "last hooray" for summer! Also, all the married couples decided that get togethers like this are so much different when you are single. You are constantly trying to flirt or get to know someone. We think we have more fun now that we aren't worried about trying to look cool or attract the opposite sex. Anyway...

 My boys! Minus a few...
Proud to say these boys are my brothers:)
 Cute husband
 Chris and Treg
 J.T. and Whitney
 Jesse and me
 His wifey couldn't be there:(
 Cool diving board tricks
 Chicken wars

Friday: Jesse and I both worked, then Cade and Sheriann came down to play and sleep over! The boys went to the gym while Sheriann and I hung out at the house and then we all went to Costa Vida. (it's an obsession I tell you!) After that we went to mom's house to get a mattress to sleep on, then to the store to get treats and a plunger... because our toilet was being weird. We then watched about one hundred episodes of The Office. I, of course, fell asleep less than half way through.

Saturday: After a good night's rest, we went to Kneaders for lunch and then to the temple. It was a beautiful and much needed temple visit. After a couple more Office episodes, they went home and Jesse and I went to help Mitch and Tayler move some things into their apartment. It was, of course, the hottest day of the year, I swear. We were sweating like crazy moving things and driving in the heat for about 3 hours. Despite the gross weather, we enjoyed being with our dear friends. I honestly love being with them! It's so much fun. They are the sweetest people and I wish we did things with them more often. When we were finished, we hurried and got ready to meet my family for dinner at China Lily. Need I say more? We stopped at my parents for a little bit before coming home to a terrible surprise. We walk into our bathroom flooding! Our toilet tank had cracked mysteriously and had been leaking water for who knows how long. Luckily, it didn't get too far out of the bathroom. We cleaned it up and called our landlord. Fortunately, her husband is a construction guy and they bought and brought a new toilet over and installed it for us at 11 o clock at night! We were nervous we wouldn't have a toilet for a few days. It wasn't exactly what we wanted to come home to after a long day out. But, we were very happy it was fixed so quickly!

Sunday: I had to work but it was a good day! Everyone was super sweet and didn't seem to be as needy as usual. Although, I did watch a patient die for the first time:( I have lost patients before, but never when I was there. I am happy I didn't know this particular lady that well or else it would have been a lot harder. Anyway, I took a long nap after work and then headed to Jesse's house. He had been with the family all day because of some farewells. We ate a delicious meal together, played with Curtis and the puppies, watched Extreme Makeover, played settlers, and played the Wii. Then we visited my family before heading home! It was a wonderful Sunday spent with the people I love most.

I am sorry for the longest post in the world. But, summer is over and I probably won't have much to post about any more. School? Who wants to hear about that? Haha. I am going to miss the summer. I like just working and playing. But, I guess at some point in time I have to finish school and do grown up things too. Thanks summer 2011, you have been good to me! :)

That pool party was pretty awesome. And if you watch that video, I am the one who just falls into the pool, no dive...

I can't believe how white Brent is!
