Becoming Chrissie

I have a goal in life, something I wrote on my bucket list last year, that will take my best dedication and strength, but one day I WILL accomplish it.

"Becoming Chrissie" is my goal.

This lady right here....

...is my idol, Chrissie Wellington. She is an absolutely amazing athlete! This past Saturday she finished first in Ironman World Championships for the fourth time!  (07,08,09,11)  Click here to learn more about her :)

You see, I have this secret passion to become an amazing triathlete. The problem, you ask? I like to eat too much and have a hard time getting myself to actually be dedicated enough to be good at something. Obviously I will never been like Ms. Wellington here, but I know I can work hard enough to succeed, and enjoy doing so, at such an awesome sport.

Once I'm all healed up and can exercise fully again, I really want to get on a program/schedule of biking, running, and swimming. What better exercise would anyone need?!

After I told Jesse of this goal, he was worried that he was the reason I would want to do such a thing. Let me inform him, myself, and anyone else who cares, that I want to become this athlete for ME. I don't feel pressure from Jesse on becoming a super-crazy-runner-girl at all. I just know that I enjoy exercising, competing, and feeling good, so why not actually stick to it this time? Plus, this is something Jesse and I can do together for ever! I can't think of a more rewarding experience than both of us competing in a race together.

Anyway, I'll be sure to write how, if and when this actually happens. :)

PS. if anyone would like to join me, please let me know
