J's Daily Quotes
First off, this week has flown by! I can't believe tomorrow is Friday... it's so great. It's been a pretty good week with school and work. I got a 98% on my spanish test! Something not so great = my rash from work came back.
"Lysha, I will massage your feet everyday for a month. We can even make a punch card!"
"Babe, how about I can buy my game if I do the dishes for three months?"
"What in our house can I sell for $60?"
"How about I get $60 and you get $60?....wait no, we don't have enough for that, so how about just me?"
You see, it hasn't stopped. Yesterday AND today Jesse came home and the first thing he asked me was, "Did you buy it? Are you surprising me with it?" Hahaha... no, sorry hun. Anyway, the point of my story is that Jesse really wanted this game, I didn't think he should get it, but I was sick of him bugging me about it. So, tonight, after more begging and me not wanting to do the dinner dishes, I finally said, "Whatever! If you do the dishes tonight you can get your game." Words cannot describe the excitement that followed this. "Lysha! I am going to make you a foot-rub punch card, for sure. Let's go get it right now! I have a half hour before my study group meets! Come with me, let's go!"
Sure enough, he did the dishes and we headed to the store! I got in the car and sarcastically shouted, "Let's go get this game!!" Jesse then responded, "Bus driver, move that bus!" Hahaha... what? He decided that he was as excited right then as the people on Extreme Home Makeover are when they get to say 'move that bus'. Once we got to the store, and waited in line for over thirty minutes, I finally asked why he and other boys want such a violent game. He said, "Lysh... it's just out of your understanding." Haha. Who is this kid, really? But, I guess he is right. I do not get it.
After studying at the library for a few hours, we are now home, blogging and playing Battlefield 3, saying things like, "Lysh! This is so cool! You can shoot the trees too!" and "Babe, do you see the graphics?" and "You are the best wife ever, thanks for letting me buy this!" Oh, how I love a happy husband.
Maybe this game wasn't worth $60 dollars but the laughter that I got out of everything Jesse said today and the joy this game is bringing him sure is. (Sadly, games like this bring joy to people.)
Side note of the rebellious side of my husband: Today during dinner Jesse said, "I have a confession... you know how I have been obsessed with skulls lately?" He really has, too. He has been showing me all these random pictures of skulls and saying how cool they are. (He's a weirdo, but I love it.) "Well... I might have bought a skull ring." I of course responded, "Seriously? Not even that you are once again going out of our budget, but that you actually bought a ring with a skull on it? That's not cute at all." He went and put it on and despite how much I made fun of him, he said, "It's cool, okay? People will think I'm cool." Haha... he is such a cutie. He wore it all night even though I was embarrassed to have him wear it in public. But, once again, it makes him happy, so I'm fine with it.
I love my husband so much, even though he likes weird things... :-) I love that he makes me laugh every day!
So, here is to a good day, a good week, and a WONDERFUL weekend coming up! Can't wait to post about our fun this weekend :)
Buen trabajo :)
It always starts on my hand...
Today my husband decided to be spoiled and rebellious. For the past few days Jesse has been begging me to let him get this new $60 xbox game, Battlefield 3. Obviously, my answer has been no. $60 dollars for a game, that he will play maybe twice a week, really? "But lysha, Jeff has it and it looks so cool and I want to play with him!" "Jess, no. You were the one last week telling me we needed to be more strict on our budget. NO!" The past few days all I have heard are things like this:
"Lysha, I will massage your feet everyday for a month. We can even make a punch card!"
"Babe, how about I can buy my game if I do the dishes for three months?"
"What in our house can I sell for $60?"
"How about I get $60 and you get $60?....wait no, we don't have enough for that, so how about just me?"

I mean really, look at the joy on his face!

We of course had to take a few pics...
Playing the guitar makes it look even cooler!
Us at the library... J showing off his "cool" ring!
