The Randoms
Welcome to the random thoughts of my brain today...
1. Jesse and I never get to spend any time together and I hate it! He is ALWAYS studying or working, and this week I am especially noticing that because I'm not going back to work until Saturday. The only time we get to spend with each other almost everyday is when we are sleeping in our bed. Fortunately though, today Jesse had a little less to do and we got to eat dinner and study together... for an hour. It was fantastic.
2. I feel like I am always studying Spanish. The night before we have a test, Ceri, Hannah, and I get together and cram. It's one of the funniest parts of my day, for sure. We are an odd bunch, and though the studying is interrupted by t.v., youtube videos, and laughter, we have a wonderful time together.
3. I am super excited to recover fully so I can go back to exercising! It's weird how when I am capable of exercising, I don't and when I'm not, I want to. Tonight, instead of sitting on my couch, I went and walked around the track at BYU for just a half hour and it felt wonderful! Just a little walk to keep me moving and to get my stomach muscles working again. I am planning on getting back into the habit of exercising regularly. I need to start getting ready for Triathlon season! I'm married to a man who has decided to do his first Ironman next year... I've gotta step it up.
4. Lately, Jesse has decided to listen to conference talks while walking/riding to and from classes and work. Because I want to be as cool as him, I have decided to do the same; except just when I am at home, driving, or exercising. I think this will bring an added measure of the spirit into our lives, which is always a plus.
5. I just found lots of low-calorie, healthy recipes! I need to make a meal plan and go grocery shopping. I am working on my eating habits, if you haven't noticed.
6. I want a baby. Every single day, I want children. Psychology class is making it worse, I tell you. It feels like we have been learning about infancy for ever, which means it's been on my mind lately. This was part of mine and Jesse's conversation today:
J: "I wish I could have a tri-bike, an iPad2, and new computer!"
A: "Well, hun, you won't be able to have those for a while."
J: "Well, you can't have kids for a while!"
Really, Jesse? Thank you, babe. The good news is that I got 11% better on my test than I thought I did...(teacher messed up questions) A 83% to a 94% makes for a happy girl.
7. Conference was wonderful. I cannot wait to get the November Ensign so I can study the prophets words in depth.
8. We are speaking in church next Sunday. Awesome.
9. My wonderful mother stopped by today! Guess what she brought with her? Halloween decorations and treats. She bought me a little pumpkin candy holder and a new wreath. She is the cutest.
10. I love my husband so much! I love when he takes a quick break from studying and holds me, kisses me, and tells me how much he loves me. :)
The end. Happy Tuesday, everyone!
