Weekend Update
Friday night I worked as the receptionist at work. It's only a four hour shift, so it was nice to just sit there, answer the phone, and do homework. Jesse called me in the middle of it and said, "Hey, your family is going to this Japanese restaurant... is it okay if I go?" "Well, duh! Of course you can go, silly." Haha... my family would go out to dinner the night I can't go. Just kidding. They brought me food when I was done, so it worked out. Jesse and I just relaxed and watched t.v. the rest of the night.
Saturday we both got to sleep in, which was wonderful! I cleaned and did homework. Jesse studied at the library. We went to my parents house for Costa Vida and the BYU football game. I took a nap, wrote my talk for Sunday, while Jesse studied and wrote his. Sad/funny story of the day: My wonderful mother was working in the yard when she ran into a pine tree and had a pine needle hit her in the eye. She was in so much pain, it was so sad! Tasha decided to take her to the Instacare to have it checked out. They found out she had scratched her cornea! No wonder she was hurting so bad. The rest of the day she had to have her eye closed...poor mommy. But, don't worry! Rory was there to take care of her :)
Then, after much stress about school and our talks, not wanting to go out, we went home. But, Brady and Marissa insisted we do something. So, obviously, we went to Classic Skating. Although it was more difficult than fun, we really did have a good time. I especially enjoyed watching Jesse and Braden skate and dance around like pros. Two things I found out about my husband tonight: 1. he is extremely good at roller skating. 2. even though he hates dancing, he will dance while skating. We came back to our apartment and ate some popcorn and watched The Office.
Sunday, October 16th, was the day we gave our first talks together/in our ward. We both spoke on the prophets and applying their teachings in our lives today. If any of you know me at all, you know that me and public speaking don't go together whatsoever. But, I did surprisingly give about an 8 minute talk, without crying. It was a new record for me. Jesse gave a wonderful talk! He was super nervous for some reason, even though he is great at speaking. He blamed me for his nervousness because I was checking my pulse before I stood up to talk. Haha. Anywho, all around, it went pretty well. After sacrament I went to nursery! Oh, did I fail to mention that I got a calling? I am now the nursery/primary music coordinator. Since the 2-3 kids in our ward are all under the age of 2 and don't exactly know how to sing, I just get to watch and play with the kids for an hour. It should be fun.
After church, Jesse's friend Jeff came over to do homework. We ate lunch while the boys told us funny mission stories. After they entertained me with their musical talents, my visiting teachers came, I took a nap, and they studied, Jesse and I headed to my parents house for dinner. Dinner, dessert, Facetime with Vegas family, and Extreme Home Makeover. Enough said.
It was a great weekend off of work! :)
The picture I sent to Jesse saying I was sad and wishing I was at dinner with him...
The picture he sent back... thanks for that, hun. haha:)

I accidentally took this... and I like it, so here.

Jill told me about her eye before we left and I felt so bad for her. I know Rory enjoyed having her near. It is funny that you caught her in a picture.
I guess you're just going to have to learn how to roller skate better so Jesse will dance with you.
