Welcome Baby

Wednesday night when my dad and I got to Las Vegas we went out to dinner at this cute little Italian restaurant. We came home and got everything ready for the baby to come! We bathed the girls and got everyone to bed for the early morning to come. Karrissa and Joe went to the hospital around 4:30 a.m. but Mom and I didn't get there until 9 a.m. Dad so selflessly babysat the two girls all day long.

After two epidurals and a very painful labor, Karrissa finally was numbed with a spinal and ten minutes later gave birth to her sweet baby boy. It was so sad to watch my sister go through so much pain! "We are done having children! I can't do this any more!" was said multiple times during the contractions... it was quite humorous, sadly. Although, we were all crying we felt so bad she was in so much pain. But once she was numb and the sweet boy came into the world, everyone was so happy! It was such an amazing experience watching a live birth. My sister is such a trooper and an amazing mother. It is crazy how God created such a miraculous way to bring his children to the earth. I am happy I got to experience the whole thing; especially because Labor and Delivery is a unit I would love to work in. It was neat to see everything the nurses did and how the whole "miracle of life" actually works.

The greatest part of the day? This little guy...
Greyson Joseph

My new nephew! How exciting is that? He came right during my baby hungry craziness and I couldn't be happier. He is an angel. I am quite in love with him. I may hog him a little bit, but just a little bit. "No, Mckinley, I'm holding him right now." Haha. I'm five.

After ooing and awing over Greyson, the girls, parents and me headed home for a slumber party. Ky, Coco and I did nails, listened to High School Musical, ate lots of treats, and watched a Barbie movie. It was fun spending a little girl time with my nieces. They are such sweethearts and always make me laugh. Like, really. I wish I could remember every thing they say because it's always so funny. For example, today on the way to the hospital this was our conversation with McKinley. "Grandma, how do elephants have babies without a doctor?" "Well, all animals have their babies without a doctor. Except sometimes there are horse doctors." "Horse doctors?! Do they have real tools like real doctors?" "Yep!" "Well... how do they hold them? In their mouth?" Hahaha... not literally, sweetheart. It was the cutest thing. Anyway, we woke up this morning and watched lots of cartoons together. Then we got ready and went to Target to get Greyson some new toys and flowers for Karrissa (M's idea). We ate lunch, took and nap, then they finally came home from the hospital. Then, the rest of the day we have just been holding the baby, playing, eating dinner, and hanging out. Now the girls are bed and we are about to watch the new Harry Potter.

More to come on our Vegas adventure!

Enjoys lots and LOTS of pictures :)

I am glad you got to go be with your sweet sister for the birth of Greyson. Your parents do a great job of support when it comes to Karrisa having children. Thanks for all the neat photos you shared. I think Jesse will be glad to have you home!
