Emotional Rollercoaster
Yesterday was an emotional rollercoaster, I tell you. With finals week here, we are both a stressed and snappy, which always brings about a few emotions. The day started out with a little argument between me and Jesse and a Spanish test. Fun, huh? Luckily, my dear friend Ceri was there to brighten the day and make me laugh, even if we were sitting in the Spanish lab for hours on end. But then we went to lunch at Noodles & Company which made the day a little better.
I came home from school to a clean house and a sweet note from the husband, which was just what I needed. I got a good nap in before J came home happy as can be. After a few tears while I vented to him about school, he informed me that we would be skyping with his mission president and his wife! I was quite excited because he has told me so many stories about these people and how amazing they are. It was neat to "meet" the couple that took such good care of my husband while on his mission and has had such a great influence on him. Because President Baldwin was a pilot in the Airforce, we had a few questions for him. After talking to them Jesse and I felt so very blessed and full of excitement for the future. Although we are going to have to work extremely hard to get where the Baldwin's have been and are today, they let us know it will all be worth it.
We then realized how much re-evaluating our lives need. Because we are so busy, sometimes the gospel gets put on the back burner, which isn't what we want. We know the best way to be truly happy is by putting the Lord first and that's what we are going to try to do from now on, even during the busy times.
I'm so grateful for Jesse and how hard he works in school. He is amazing and always shows me how much he loves me. Plus, he ALWAYS makes me laugh when I'm not happy. We are excited for the future and all it has in store for us.
Jesse went to the lirbray, I took a test, and then Ceri called and we went and got hot chocolate. We both did a little venting and a lot of laughing. A little girl time was just what I needed before watching The Office with her and Jesse.
That night Jesse and I knelt together to say our prayers, holding hands and crying, and thanked our Heavenly Father for all the blessing in our lives. We have each other, the gospel, a wonderful home, an education, and friends and family all around us.

What a neat thing that you could skype to Jesse's mission president and his wife. I am sure that solidified your decision to change your lives.
