That Dang Body...
I have been extremely happy lately with how my body has been letting me run. Like, extremely grateful. I usually have hurt knees, bad ankles, weird digestive problems, etc. I have a half marathon I am training for, on June 9th, which has kept me going. I seriously feel healthier and happier because of how much I've been running lately.
But...
After my run with Jesse last week my knees started hurting. I thought taking Sunday and Monday off to stretch and roll would make it better. Well, today, Saturday, a week from my last run, I am still hurting really bad. It's been a week since I've ran and my body feels weird! I am so sad that this is happening just a few weeks before my race.
I even tried just going to cycling, to at least get some exercise, to see if that wouldn't hurt. But it did! It was the worst. My mom and brother both had bad knees and had to get surgery but I don't want that to happen! I stretch, I roll out my legs, I run toe first… I'm running out of ideas.
Marissa, if you are reading this, I've started those exercises you told me about forever ago to see if that'll help. I'm getting new, better shoes to see if that will change anything. But, once again, if anyone has any ideas on what to do to fix these dang knees, I would love some advice! :)
