Fourth of July

We spent the fourth of July this year with Jesse's family! After an awesome work out in the morning, we met up with everyone at the pool. Lots of diving competitions and laying around. It was perfect.

 Bahahaha. Worst camera angle ever.
After the pool we convinced Kim and Pa to come to the greatest shaved ice shack ever! Waiting in line in the hot, hot sun for a half an hour was totally worth it :)
 Pa was lovin' it!
Then we had a BBQ! Jesse's mom made the most delicious food! There were tons of people there just hanging out, talking, and playing badminton. What more could I ask for?
I couldn't find Jesse for a while… Why was I silly enough not to look on the roof? Of course that's where he was… the planes for Stadium of Fire were going to be flying past soon! He's too cute. In a Peter Pan kind of way.
Sadly, the night ended with a dropped and cracked phone while watching the neighborhood fireworks. I was a baby about it, for sure. Jesse stayed and hung out and I went home to bed… with a pouty face.

I've never been the real patriotic type, one for fireworks, or outdoors. So, the fourth of July is not my favorite holiday but I always love spending time with my family! Also, since my husband will one day be apart of this country's military, I should probably work on the patriotism part, huh?
