North Carolina: Day 2 & 3
Our first full day at the beach was one to remember! In the morning, we all went on a run! Kim and I mostly stuck together, which was fun. On our way back it started pouring rain and it felt SO good! After we got home, the sun came out and we were ready to play! We played at the beach all day before having a delicious shrimp dinner (obviously chicken was made for me…:)). That night we went on a walk down the beach, which mostly involved searching for crabs. As scared of things that crawl as I am, it was quite entertaining watching everyone chase after each crab, searching for them with flashlights. We came home and sat on the porch and talked to GranBonnie and Grandaddy forever. Grandaddy taught us about stars and meteors, incredible things, really. Guess who had another peaceful, "I'm so grateful for the beautiful creation earth is" moment? This gal. It was just so cool… sitting there with people I truly love, looking at stars, and pondering life's biggest questions. It was a night to remember.
Matching!
Curtis getting a tan...
Boobs.
Sandy hug… how rude!
Unfortunately, these were brought on the trip...
Outside showers!
The best part about this trip? Learning to play back gammon. Grandaddy is a genius at it and taught us all some new tricks. Our day was never complete without a few rounds...
The night ended with a bike ride with these goons and then an all girl ab workout lead by the one and only Eliza Jane. We call them Kesha abs.
Day numero three was just as awesome because it was Bonnie's 70th birthday! The morning began with volleyball and soccer games, followed by beach time, dinner, presents, and dessert!
We played a 4 on 4 soccer game that was so much fun! Even if my team lost...
Had to take a few cheesy pictures...
We love our Brady-Lou...
A rainy, windy day ending in me cuddling up and reading… Definitely not complaining. (I don't even know who I am any more… Enjoying reading? What?)
GranBonnie and Grandaddy told us lots of stories this night; my favorite being how they met, starting dating, and funny things about their first years of marriage. I loved it!
