Spudman Triathlon

I'm too busy packing for North Carolina to write a lot of details about this race, but I wanted to at least get it blogged before we leave. Jesse, me, Cade, Bridget, and Cade's dad participated in the Idaho Spudman Olympic Triathlon! This was my first Olympic distance, and we didn't find out we were doing the race until only a couple weeks ago, so I was extremely nervous! But… guess what? It went great! Jesse told me he thought I would be able to finish the race in three hours; so, I wanted to prove him right! The swim was quick, the bike was harder than I thought and I felt slower than everybody around me but it was fun because Bridget and I rode the whole way together, and the run was surprisingly awesome. I finished at exactly 3 hours and 24 milliseconds! Jesse did awesome, despite what he thinks. He finished in 2 hours and 26 minutes! His bike ride went really well and I was so proud of him!

We had a fun little weekend getaway to Idaho with our friends. We drove home after the race (and after eating Wendy's and treats, of course) and stayed the night at Cade's house. We had a delicious dinner, watched the olympics, and ate more treats! :)

The end!

I will try again to comment. I am using my phone to read blog & comment. For some reason it stops & won't let me type. You did great on that triathlon ! So proud of you. You did well in school, weddings, B's birthday, weddings & now you get to play on the beaches, & of course move; which won't be fun but you will save money. I love you sweetie and hope the rest of your summer is fun with Jesse & families!
