The Last of NC

I thought I would try and do day by day but now that I only have a few days left, I'm giving up. Here are the last of the pictures! ….out of order, as usual.

We went to Shackleford Island for the day! Roger drove us out on his boat and we ate lunch, swam, sang to Dixie Chicks, and hiked around. It was a lot of fun! When we got back, it was a crazy wind/rain storm! The boys were out boogie-boarding and the girls were yelling at the boys from the beach to come in. It didn't quite work. We went to a delicious sea food restaurant that night with everyone!

The next day we played on the beach, had family pictures, ate a delicious meal, celebrated Treg's birthday, then had a girls night!
Baby sand crabs… my worst nightmare.

This was our last day at the beach! :( It was very windy, so we didn't swim much but we played Bocce ball, read, and built sand castles.

Matching with Grandaddy
 Played a lot of backgammon...
That night we had an awesome game of head-ball! It was so much fun playing on the beach in the dark! Only downside was when I sprained my toe… no fun.

We drove back to Grandaddy and GranBonnie's house the next morning. We ran some errands, ate dinner, and watched the Olympics. We went to the museum the next morning and then went to the airport!

We seriously are so lucky we got to go on this incredible vacation with our family. It was SO much fun and very much needed. So grateful for all those who made it happen. Can't wait to go back! :)
