Finishing Up Fall Semester...

…in picture form. It's how I remember things when I don't blog right away.

Last day of chemistry! Hooray!
Keeping ourselves sane during finals with a run in  the canyon!
Weekend fun at the gym with friends and family
This is how my family decided to help Jesse memorize military ranks… it was one of the better nights we've spent together.
My breaks from studying for finals usually looked like this...
 blah.
One of the last days of finals, ROTC had their closing ceremony parade and award ceremony at UVU. All the cadets had been working on this parade and they all did great. It was cool to watch! Jesse received seven awards! He did so awesome. The best award he received was the colonel's scholarship, which includes full tuition and books, plus a monthly stipend. The colonel got to pick one cadet to give it to, so it was cool Jesse stood out enough to him. This scholarship needed Jesse to swear in to the Air Force, which is also cool, because now he is officially a E2 in the United States Air Force. I am seriously so proud of him. He works incredibly hard the entire semester, and it definitely paid off.
ROTC invited the cadets and their spouses to take a trip up to Hill AF Base for a day; September 11th, actually. The boys met with lots of different military employees and learned about what air force life would be like for them. The girls spent the day having a tour of the base, seeing what was available for us and our families. We met with a lot of people who gave us a whole lot of information about AF life. Although it was a long, sometimes boring, day, it was extremely cool to see the base and where families live, etc. We had lunch up there with people who are stationed there, which was neat. Because it was 9/11 they did a flag ceremony which was extremely cool and emotional.
Right after my last final at UVU, I went to my interview for nursing school! I was extremely nervous but it went great!
I obviously got red splotches all over… as some do when they are embarrassed.
And after a few days.. I was informed I was accepted into the program!!

The semester ended with good grades for the both Jesse and I. I was sick to my stomach for a few days waiting for final grades to come out because I was so nervous I wasn't going to get what I needed for nursing school. But, I prayed and prayed and prayed, and it turned out alright :) I have enjoyed my time at UVU but am so excited I am done there and starting nursing school!
