Nursing School Thus Far

Ever since I can remember, I've been saying the words "When I go to nursing school…" "Once I'm a nurse…" and I can't believe that that time is actually here! I've wanted to be nurse since I was young and it's amazing I'm learning how to be one now. It's honestly like a dream come true! My school is just great. Some days it's super boring, somedays it's very intriguing. I absolutely love learning about how to care for patients. I love getting to talk with my mom about it and saying things like "I learned to put in a catheter today! Do you remember putting your first catheter in?" "What's the side effect of that drug?" "Why does this happen, what you would do in that situation?"  But, at this point, what makes nursing school so great are the people. The other students have become my best friends! Granted, we spend eight+ hours a day together, but it's crazy how quickly we got to know each other. These are honestly people I think I will be friends with forever. As boring as class is somedays, our in-class Facebook chats keep us pretty entertained. I'm never truly bored because someone is always making me laugh or have fun somehow. One of these friends is even dating my brother!! So… we spend lots of time together :) At my school, to pass the test, we have to get a 90%, so test weeks are quite stressful. But, it's pretty cool to say that we will have never got below a 90% on any of our tests when we graduate!

This was the first study sesh with my group. I mostly just ate the pizza and then left (I study better on my own!), so that's fine.

 Teach gave us children stars for passing our test! 

We do this thing where we video tape ourselves doing stuff and the teacher watches it and gives us a grade… how embarrassing is that?! 

We were talking about not putting pictures on social media sites without someones permission… so we captured the boys in the back without their permission as a joke.. funny huh? Haha we get bored, okay? 

At this point, the tests have gone well! But I'm only in my 3rd block… 12 more to go, so the scores are probably gonna go down haha
