Thanksgiving in Texas 2013
We were lucky enough this year to get all the family together in Amarillo for Thanksgiving. We caravanned down for the 14 hours and spent a couple days at the farm. I am seriously so blessed to be apart of such an awesome family. It was such a fun week being with everyone!
We left around 5 o clock am and sweet Kim had a smorgasbord of food ready for us to pack for the long car ride. Her treats kept us full the whole ride there, which was nice, so we didn't spend any money on food.

We stopped at Munner's as soon as we got into town and said hello to all the family and then made our way to the farm. When we got there Mark and Stephanie had all our beds set up and the fire going so we felt all nice and cozy as soon as we got there. The next morning all the girls got manicures and pedicures and then got lunch at this nice italian restaurant. It was so fun to spend time with Jesse's aunts, cousins, and grandma who we never get to see/don't really know very well. Plus, they paid for all of it, which was extremely nice for us poor college kids!!
10-12 people in this tiny cabin every night... It was a blast :)
Seeing Eliza for the first time since she moved to New York! Oh how I missed this sissy so.
Giant sleepover bed... that's how we fit everyone.

Also, how adorable is this picture?
We went night exploring of course! Which really just turned into taking jumping pictures and having dance parties in the dark...
Some of the best parts of the trip were moments like this. Everyone cuddled up on the beds, hanging out, laughing. Feeling very grateful for this family.
Thanksgiving Day: We played basketball and dodgeball, practiced two-man cartwheels, and such at the local high school where Jesse's uncle works. It was so much fun! I have tons of videos I should put up. We met the rest of the family at The Big Texan afterwards with the rest of Amarillo. We had dinner in this huge room full of tons of long tables and loud people... it was a very anxiety-OCD-inducing place but nonetheless wonderful. The food was really good too, which is the most important part of this day. After dinner we spent the night playing games with the whole family. It was probably one of the funniest nights of my life. We played the animal game and other crazies for hours on end. You could say I have a lot to be thankful for!
Missing Rachel!
I am a five year old and think it's funny to point to the ox's bum bum..
The next day was the day we were going to leave but then decided to stay an extra day! We just hung out, went to lunch with everyone, took a nap at Munner's, had a fire outside, and who knows what else!

Also, apparently I sleep with my hand in my pants... it's fine.
Giant spoon sesh....
We spent the last day exploring the land around the farm and bowling. One great thing and one bad thing about bowling: Mark won an ipad mini out of a vending machine! It was absolutely crazy. Who does that?! Bad thing... I had a terrible stomach attack. I haven't had one in the longest time so this just came out of no where. It was the absolute worst. I just bawled in pain in the car waiting for everyone to finish their games. Jesse was so sweet and took care of me. But it was just the worst... good thing it only lasted like twenty minutes! (I understand I look like I gained 50 lbs in these pictures... but hopefully its just the clothes/angle... right???)
Just doing some ballet on a barbed wire fence... I'm obviously nothing like the three professional ballerinas I'm standing by.

Sometimes Treg takes pictures pretending she is pregnant. It's quite precious.
This is real. It happened.
It was a wonderful week in Texas. I am so grateful for my husband and his family and the love they show me. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! :)
