SLC Staycation

My sweet dad surprised us kids with a little two-day staycation in Salt Lake. He got us all our own king-size bed rooms, took us to delicious dinners, gave us money to go shopping and took us to a movie. It was such a fun weekend together! Miranda and I finished clinicals at 6pm on Friday and started our Christmas break with this fun weekend. 

Friday night we went to an incredible Chinese restaurant and then played poker all night in the hotel room. Saturday was a fun-packed day: breakfast at JB's, church museum, shopping, Frozen, more shopping, Olive Garden, swimming, and more poker. My sweet mom planned this secret santa thing for a family in our ward. We each got the presents for one of the kids. It was such a fun way to remember service and Christ around Christmas time. I was kind of emotional on Saturday and was being a brat at times... it's the worst when you just can't handle getting mad about stupid things. I could have acted better. But once I got over myself, it was an awesome time. I love my family and am grateful we have so much fun together. Sunday morning we went to the Little America hotel's brunch. It was THE best thing I have ever eaten. Best breakfast foods ever. We all ate waaaayyy too much. Thanks mom and dad for the great weekend!!
