Cadet Colonel Lanham

Let me present to you Detachment 855 AFROTC 's newest wing commander…

 Cadet Colonel Lanham! 

The wing commander is the main ROTC cadet in charge of the detachment. He is like the Colonel's helper. He plans all the events, makes sure everyone is doing their job, etc. Jesse applied for this prestigious position a couple months ago and we found out just as the semester was ending! He will be the Fall 2014 semester wing commander. This is going to a busy busy four months for him! But he is totally perfect for the job. I am SOO proud of him. I cannot tell you how hard he works in school and ROTC. I am amazed by him. 

At the end of the year awards ceremony, they did change of command and that's when Jesse became the new wing commander. He gave a wonderful, inspiring speech to the cadets afterward. Plus, he got multiple awards! How could I not love this wonderful man?

Also… surprise part of the wing commander position… if he has a wife, she is usually the president of the Spouses and Sweethearts Club. So… by default, here I am. The new president of S&S for the fall semester! Woo!
