Luca Ryan Parsons
Remember that one time I set my brother up with a girl from school? Remember when they got married? And remember when they had a baby?! My cute nephew came into this world on April 18th! After hours of contracting, they broke Mir's water and baby didn't like that… His heart rate dropped and they had to do an emergency C-section. It all happened so fast and I was an emotional wreck. It was like 3 a.m., Mir's sister and mom weren't here yet, Ryan had surgery on his wrist that day, and we had a final at school the next morning at 8 a.m. It was all very bad timing, honestly. But finally… my sweet baby Luca Ryan came into this world! I instantly fell in love with him. He's gonna be my little bestie, I just know it.
This is how it all went down. June 17th morning Ryan had surgery on his wrist. That night me and Miranda were at my house studying for our test the next day. After we finished, she went home. Soon after she called me and my mom and told us she was contracting like crazy. We went over to help her and comfort her. She is was in so much pain but she handled it like a champ! My mom checked her (she's a OB nurse.. don't worry) and she was dilated to a 3. Miranda is in pain contracting, Ryan is laying on the bed on pain meds, out of it, and it was just all a little crazy. We finally went to the hospital and then the whole C-section happened. I had to wait outside the OR and I was going nuts. I didn't know if my nephew was going to be okay and if Mir was alright and if Ryan even knew what was going on he was so out of it.
After I hung out with beautiful baby boy for a little bit, I decided I should go home and try to get a little bit a sleep before my test. Miranda obviously was going to have to take the test another day but I didn't have the baby… so I figured I had to be there. I fell asleep around 5:00 am. I woke up at 6:30 and called my teacher and told her what had happened and she was so sweet and told me to go back to sleep and I could take the test with Miranda another day. That was the greatest blessing ever. I slept for like half the day and then spend the rest at the hospital with the new family of 3!

I was a wreck, I tell you.
But finally.. this beautiful baby boy decided to come into the world!
Luckily she delivered at the hospital my mom works at so super grandma-nurse Jillbo Baggins even got in on the c-section.
I love you so much Luca! Thanks to Ryan and Mir for creating a beautiful tiny human for me to love. And for sharing with the overly excited aunt :)
