We're Just Ordinary People
Who likes my John Legend reference? I told you I am running out of ideas for titles for all these random pictures in my life. I'll try to add more words to the smorgasbord to make it a littttttle more exciting.
Jesse and I decided to kick our butts into gear! I have been a major slacker in the exercise department. I got a nice winter layer of fat going (haha hibernation, ya know?) and I just wasn't feeling awesome (back in January/February/March time…I'm just six months behind, I know). As this year is going to be the year we (hopefully) get pregnant, I wanted to get my body ready for when that day comes. So, with that said, I have been working hard! More with the exercise than the eating part… which I am still struggling with. Jesse has been having us do crazy gymnastics stuff! It's been great. My back muscles started showing like instantly since doing handstands, pull ups, skin-the-cats, chin ups, etc. We also have been running a lot, which is great because both our knees are still bad but have been doing better, especially since we run sprints a lot which hurt lots less! I am proud of the progress I have made but have a lot more to go! Jesse is the best personal trainer ever! I love going to Zumba and pump classes, running sprints, and lifting with Jesse. I try to go at least 4-6 times a week. Hopefully this will become just a lifestyle and habit soon enough!
Jesse saw these homemade paralettes on You Tube and decided to make his own! This position looks weirdly easy but guess what? It's weirdly hard.
A couple months in…
What drove us to do a gym two-a-day? No idea. Especially when one time was lifting legs… ouch!
A couple miles of sprints with the other Lanhams and then playing at the park while working out!
Jesse running away after holding me in position hahahha.. trying to get my handstand on the parallettes!
Gosh… who are these kids?!
Oh ya know, just posing for pictures in the park.
Look at them chicken legs!!!
Hi uncle Jesse!!
I'm one of "those" obsessive aunts.
Fake interview day at school! Love these boys. So grateful for their friendship.
Glasses day at school, I guess!
Sometimes I wear t-shirts as my normal clothing… it's fine. Ain't nobody got time to look fancy all the time!
Some days nursing school involves paper airplane contests as class
We need to get this man to be a father, I think!
Then again… he was legitimately playing with a paper bag over his head like a big crazy… So.. Maybe I'll just have to keep taking care of him AND the children.
Weekend date night = picking up Wendy's and eating it while watching little Mark at his final high school lacrosse game! Sadly, they didn't win, but he sure played well. I LOVE watching lacrosse. My brother played all through high school and college, plus Jesse and his brothers played, so I love when I get to watch a game every now and then.
Jess really is such a good big brother
