My Jesse

"My Jesse"…. "My Lysha"…. it's just a thing we say. Usually it's when Jesse snuggles me and won't let me go he says… "My Lysha.." hahahaha. We may be weird but it's cute in a weird way. And this summer I've been able to spend lots of time with my Jesse! He still works the same amount but with me just studying for NCLEX, no school or work, I have time to do whatever with him whenever he isn't working. We love going to the gym together, watching movies and tv at night, and going on random adventures.

The other day I was watching Big Brother with Mir and Ry and Jesse asked me to go to the Draper outlets with him. I said no because I wanted to watch my show and he went to get ready to go by himself. I sat and thought… Why in the world would I choose to watch a silly tv show instead of getting extra time with my husband? So, we went to the Traverse Mountain outlets like an hour before they closed! Jesse wanted to find some workout shirts and a swimsuit. He got some good stuff at the Nike store and even let me get some new shorts! :) (the trip was worth it just for that…. ;)) After walking around forever and finding no swimsuits he liked, we went to the Ralph Lauren store like minutes before it closed. And guess what? The swimsuits were half off and he LOVED them. Plus they had an awesome military discount! ;) Hooray! Miracles happen. This is the only picture I captured of us this night… checkin' himself out in that suit. Even though that's not the one he bought. But look how good he looks? Sorry it's not a fully clothed picture… Anywho. We sang songs in the car together and laughed and talked. And guess what? That's way better than any tv show (although very entertaining).
Last Saturday we wanted to watch a movie and J chose Finding Nemo! Haha… just us. No kids. It's fine. We like children movies. Plus, my cute mom made the best waffles ever.
Jesse was exhausted when he got home from work the other day and I was SOOO bored cause I had been at the house all day. All I wanted was to go out and do something fun together! But nope. He captured me and made we watch like half of the world cup soccer game. This is one of those "my Lysha" moments. But he still needed to work out… so I sat on the couch and watched TV while he worked out at home. Then he said… "I know what will make you happy. Let's go get a treat." Hahaha. He sure knows this fattie wife of his well :) So, off to Comment Cents we went in our sweats and no make up. He made it through his Icee and about half an Office episode before falling sound asleep on my lap. It wasn't exactly the night out I was hoping for but it still made me happy. He makes me happy.
Rory tagged along and was loving the windows down :)
These moments weren't exactly time spent together but they remind me of how much I love my Jesse. I love the way he sets everything out on his dresser. Watches, flight suit patches, Air Force stuff, pictures of family, tithing checks… you name it. He is loving his new job at IMSAR and is getting lots of flight hours, which we are OH SO GRATEFUL for. He came home the other day with his flight suit from ROTC. He now gets to wear that instead of the other uniforms if he wants. He is obsessed with it and looks daaaammmmn fine if I do say so myself. We find out in about two months where he will be going to flight school… crazy huh? Our lives are gonna change a lot in the next year and I am so excited. I can't wait for all the adventures we get to have together in the future.
Jesse called me the other morning bright and early and said "I'm outside! I'm flying above the house! Come see me!" And sure enough… there he was! In the sky. Flying.
I think I could do without the (baby) mustache though…
We took a break from all our responsibilities and studies and just laid out on the tramp, caught some rays, and enjoyed listening to our girl Ellie Goulding (Jesse's preference:)).  Then I played with the hose like a child, squirting it in the air and running underneath it. It was a delightful afternoon.

This summer is full of studying and working and same routine days but I love our nights and random moments together.

PS. Sorry for the cheesy post. K bye.
