North Carolina Beach Trip: Part 4
Day 7: We all went on a quick 4 mile bike ride before breakfast, and then rode our bikes to the stores to shop around. I got a atlantic beach t-shirt and a cute keychain! After lunch we played at the beach forever, took a nap in the chair, played bocce ball, paddle boarded, and played with Evan in the sand. We all got ready and took family pictures on the beach! After yummy hawaiian haystack dinner, we played one last game of night headball! It was an awesome last game besides the fact that Michael lost his wedding ring! We searched for a really long time trying to find it but it was almost impossible in the sand.
Evan LOVED playing with Uncle Jesse in the sand!
The blue chair was all Jesse's idea! I was so proud :) He even let me take as many pictures as I wanted. What a good man hahaha
Just gettin' cray cray for headball. Even though I didn't play… I pretended.
I am beyond lucky to call these people my family!
Jesse had the idea to have everyone be in a line and cover certain sections of the sand. Although it was a sad thing to lose the ring, this was extremely entertaining. All the drunk people on the beach were extremely confused haha
Day 8: Today, Saturday, was our last day at the beach before driving back to Raleigh, so we sure made the most of it! After a bike/run around the neighborhood, we did a full yoga class on the beach and it was truly my favorite thing ever. It was quiet, I was in my own head, the wind was blowing, I heard the waves crashing, and I just felt so relaxed. Kim sure is a good teacher, too! It was awesome. We had another yummy pancake breakfast before heading down the courts to play kickball! We played a few rounds, as much as the wind would let us, and then headed back to the house to play in the water. Boogie boarding and bocce ball = an awesome last time at the beach. Jess and I took a nap on his parents bed then a couple of us went to Wings and Berts to shop around one last time. I played backgammon with Eliza for hours until dinner was ready. The boys had caught tons of fish earlier that day so that's what we had for dinner. After dinner we moved all the furniture and played the animal game with everyone! It was SOOOO funny. Next we ate dessert and played catch phrase. J and I watched another movie in bed one last time! It was one of my favorite days for sure.
I am so lucky to have these wonderful ladies as sisters.
I seriously don't think we won one game of bocce… goodness!
One of the best naps ever.
He finally got the Bert t-shirt he had been wanting!
