Parsons Cancun Trip

Forever ago my family figured out a time where we could all take our bi-yearly (that's a thing, right?) Parsons Vacation! We waited and waited for March to come.... and finally it was time to head to Cancun!

Sunday:
  • Flight to Cancun
  • Waited in the customs line for like eight years
  • Hour ride to hotel
  • Checked in... with drinks brought to us as soon as we arrived, of course!
  • Dinner at the buffet
  • Walked to the beach and did a tour of the hotel and pool...included a stop at the bar for more drinks :)
Introducing SUPER FAMILY! Hahhaa look at all the stuff and sweaty children....
Cozy bus ride
My family stayed at this hotel last time we were in Cancun and loved it! So we stayed at one of their hotels again :)
We don't take packing lightly...
My sweet parents wanted this to be relaxing and comfortable for everyone so they got each couple their own room. They are the best!
Soaking in the night beach sounds
Drinks all day every day please

Monday:
  • Delicious buffet breakfast
  • Played at the beach and pool all morning
  • Grill for lunch
  • Spike ball back at the beach
    • Crazy drunk girl came up to the boys and asked questions about the game and begged to let her play with them. She kept like flirting with Brent and touching his arm hahhaha so funny
  • Dinner at the buffet then walked around the hotel's outdoor mall
  • Watched Inception in bed with Jess

Oh how we loved spending time with our miss Cora!
Boys played and the girls laid haha
But like... is he not the hottest/sexiest/manliest most beautiful man you've ever seen?

 NACCHHOOOO!

Tuesday:
  • We drove on a tour bus with our bestie Heleman (obviously besties cause we did a tour with him last time we were in Cancun) to Tulum to see the ruins! It was super duper hot out but they were cool to see. The view from the top was amazing, overlooking the ocean.
  • Drove to the beach right next to the ruins and met us with some random people who took us snorkeling! I don't snorkel but I thought it would be fun to go on the boat and watch everyone else swim but that was a bad idea considering the fact that I get terrrrribly sea sick. Uhhh duh Alysha. So, I was sick the whole time. But the boys had fun snorkeling!
  • Next we drove to this AMAZING cenote! It was sooo cool. It had this cave part that was so deep and dark but then underwater you could see everything. Little fishes swimming around you, bats flying above your head, it was awesome. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip.
  • We got back to the hotel and relaxed on the beach then had dinner at the buffet
 Us and our love child
Eating treats like a child, obviously...
Ryan mid flipping the camera off... perfect.
How amazing is this view?!
Two rare occasions captured here: Grey sitting with me and Grey asleep haha
 Boatttt ride
 Looking back at Tulum
To the Cenote! I truly loved this place. It was sooo much fun to swim in!
It was hard to capture how light and clear it was under the water but it looked so cool!
 Cutest Cora smile ever!
When we got home we had fun laying on the beach, playing spike ball, listening to music, and taking silly pictures with Hill's camera!
 Best. Picture. Ever.

Wednesday:
  • We had another relaxing day at the hotel! Just played at the pool and beach all day, visited the dolphins, ate lunch at the grill,  and took naps in the chairs!
  • We had dinner at a delicious Italian restaurant that night!
I'm a five year old with goggles on, it's fine
Oh how I love this man
The girls thought it would be funny to interrupt the guys spikeball game and pretend we knew how to play.... they didn't love that so much haha
Please try and find a little bum crack...
Just holding babies as much as I can
Delicious pasta carbonara for me...my favorite! :)
I love all these ladies sooooo much
After dinner everyone (except a few boring people...like myself haha) went night swimming! Jess and I got to lay in the hammock together for while before and I loved it. Cool breeze, swinging, snuggling.

Thursday:
  • Today was our day at XPLOR!! Some of us came here last time in Cancun and just had to show the rest of the family how fun it was. And it sure did not disappoint! Ziplines, swimming through caves, riding RV's... we all loved it!
    • Before we came on our trip I triple checked that it was okay if I went ziplining...I was only 8 weeks pregnant at this time but my doctor gave me the okay! He said there was hardly anything that could hurt the baby at this point, so to go have fun! And that's just what I did :)
  • After a long tiring fun day, we had a delicious dinner at the hotel's Mexican restaurant. We all were exhausted by the end of dinner and went straight to bed.
Dad thinking it was pretty cool he was now way under all the weight/size requirements! Go daddy!
We went on March 19th, which marked out 4 year anniversary! What a fun way to spend our special day :)
Mir was so scared but did everything! What a little trooper :)
Of course we were soaking wet at the end of it, ziplining through waterfalls and all!
We had a delicious lunch at their buffet (enjoyed like 5 ice cream cones each...) then we were off to ride the RV's! I only ended up going once because I was worried it was too bumpy for the tiny peanut growing inside me, but it was fun to drive it once! My mom and I took a nap in the sun in some chairs while everyone went again.
Next up was rafting through the caves! The paddling proved to be quite difficult for a few of us...
Then swimming through the caves in the freezing water!
 Dork
Off to dinner with the cutest baby ever!

Friday:
  • We tried to make the most of our last day at the hotel! We had so much fun playing keep away in the pool and making awesome underwater and music videos! We spent the entire day in the sun and it was wonderful :)
  • We all got ready then took some family pictures on the beach before going to the yummmmmiest Japanese restaurant.
  • We all hung out in B & T's room laughing and talking afterwards
Monkey Jesse ready for the day
Cora's got all the right gear to enjoy the pool
Making up dances for our music video, of course!
 Oh heyyyyy boyyys
Me thinking/feeling like I had a baby bump already...
 So beautiful during the evening!

Saturday:

  • Sadly this was our last day! We soaked up every last ray of sunshine and pool water we could before packing up and heading home.
    • Funny story: the van that came to take us back to the airport was like ten times smaller than the one that brought us to the hotel... so we spent like 30 minutes trying to fit all of us plus our luggage... it was a success.. in a way... people had strollers and suitcases on top of them but it was fine. We all made it back home  :)

The boys swimming with the fish!
 We've done it!

We had SUCH an amazing trip. It was a much needed break from the reality of work and school. I love spending time with Jesse and my crazy family! We are spoiled and lucky to have them :) Until next family vacation!
