Saying Goodbye to Utah
We spent our last days, Friday and Saturday, with family! We didn't want it any other way before we left to Texas! On Friday while Jesse went to lunch with his cute mom, I went out to Elk Ridge to see my mom's house and go to lunch! Ry, Mir, mom, Kriss, and the kids were there. It was a wonderful afternoon! That night we had a "goodbye BBQ" with Jesse's family. Kim is the best at having everyone over and making it delicious and fun. We played spikeball, talked outside, played catch phrase, ate dinner, talked and laughed, and shared testimonies. It was a wonderful night. I am so grateful for the extra amazing family I gained when I married Jesse. It'll be so weird to be away from them!
On Saturday Jesse and I ran errands together, packed, and loaded up our car. That night we had our last night with my family. Everyone came home to my moms almost empty house and we had one last dinner together! It was delightful, of course. Then we just all hung out and talked together in the living room. The night ended with a few tears of course... as I had to say goodbye to my siblings. I'm not good with change, especially when it involves being on my own, without my whole world of a family. I was so happy to spend one last night with them though. It'll be so weird not to have tv show nights or shopping or dinner or out to lunch whenever we want. It'll definitely take some getting used to... and some tears...I'm sure. I love them to the moon and back.
Hahahah I had to take a picture of this. Mom and I running a couple errands after lunch with everyone - I ran into the pharmacy to get a prescription and came back to her sound asleep with her mouth open as usual. Haha. I love her. She is my world.
Jesse had a wonderful lunch with his mom at Chris' restaurant at Thanksgiving Point
Lanham/Yandow party :
Jesse had asked his mom earlier if he could have this painting that hung in one of the bedrooms at the house. Jesse loves it and says it always reminds him of home. So, she wrapped it up and gave it to him! He's excited to hang it in our new house somewhere. She also gave us this cute little sign and then everyone signed a card. We read it out loud as requested and I had to have Jesse do the reading because I was just crying. Such sweet words from his family.
Everyone was testing out Rachel's new wrap with Lyla!
Haha - we think we are funny!
Very pregnant 35 week Lysha
Random Saturday stuff - Jesse had one last gym session with Cade!
While I took a wonderful nap with my better half ;) I seriously with miss my Rory so much.
Parsons party :
Wuca chicken and Jess playing "balls"
Best picture of the night: Jill brought home a "delivery kit" from the hospital for us to take in the car just in case baby girl decided to come on the side of the road. This is her teaching Jesse about all the things included.. hahaha so great. Shes's the best.
Our families are our entire world. We have never lived away from them, and have been so lucky to have both sides of the family within walking distance of each other. We certainly have been spoiled these last four years since getting married. Words cannot describe my love for them. It will be very difficult for me to be away from them. It's going to be a huge change. As much as it scares me or makes me nervous or sad to know we will be not in Utah with them again for a very, very long time, I have to think of all the great things that are coming. Jesse and I will have a chance to be completely on our own -- a time to be our own little family. Jesse will be starting a very hard period of his life of rigorous training, but it is to do something he has dreamed of since he was little. That is special. Most importantly, we will be adding to our family. Our sweet girl will be joining us and we are both so extremely excited. We cannot even wait to meet her! In Utah or Texas, we are a family. We have each other and we have a life to live and grow. God is good. And we are excited for all that the future has in store for us!
***Thank you so much to our families for all the love and support you have given Jesse and I in the last couple years, and especially in the last couple months. We are so grateful!***
