Lucy's First Two Weeks

The first two weeks of Lucy's life were good but definitely tiring and a big adjustment. I am soooo grateful my wonderful mother was there to help Jesse and me. The days and nights just blurred together. I was in an indescribable amount of pain for the first week, especially. It was awful. Mostly my hoohoo hurt so bad, but then my milk came in and my boobs were huge and so painful. It was rough, really. But all the snuggles were worth all of it. She nursed every 1.5-2 hours. My mom or Jesse would watch her during the day when I needed a nap, and then at night, Jesse would stay up late with her playing xbox while I slept, then bring her to me to feed and then take her back. Ha, we figured out a good little system there for a while. I have never felt such exhaustion. But Jesse and my mom were so helpful. 

Jillbo Baggins deserves an award! She made us delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. She held Lucy when I needed a nap. She cleaned my house. She made freezer meals for when she left. She grocery shopped for us. She helped take care of my body. She is pretty much wonder woman. I love you mommy! 

As for Lucy, she is the best little baby. She is so sweet. And an awesome nurser!  We loved when she would open her eyes for long periods of times, smile in her sleep, and sleep on our chests.

 Lucy's one week check up went great! Weighed the same as her birthweight, so that was good. 

 We waited for 45 minutes to see the doctor though, so that was no fun. 

 Jesse new flight approved sexy glasses....

 And the blowouts begin! 

Felt so good to get out and take a walk around the block!

 One night I was just so exhausted and could not get her to go back to sleep so I asked Jesse to take her. The next morning they weren't in bed...came downstairs to find this :)
