Valentines Day Weekend 2016
We had a fun Valentines weekend together as a family! On Saturday we ran a couple errands then grabbed an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse. When we got home, Lucy wasn't feeling well at all. Jesse gave her a blessing and luckily she got some sleep. We had a good day at church the next morning, that is, until missy started not feeling so hot again and grunting like crazy. This is when our Valentine's Day night got a little less romantic...;)
She had been constipated for a few days and she was just grunting and crying and it was so sad! So, I sent Jesse out to get an enema or suppository or something for her. Lucy and I watched How To Train Your Dragon while he was gone, in hopes it would entertain her a little bit. Jess came back and we did a little enema with her....we had her hanging over my lap with her bum facing the bathtub...haha! Looking back now, we could have made this a little easier on ourselves! So, we did the enema, and she was like screaming and grunting still, so I called my mom and was trying to get advice and didn't know what to do and right then poop just shot out EVERYWHERE!! Hahaha! Seriously. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall watching all this. Lucy had just shot poop all over the bathtub, and I was like screaming with joy that it worked and laughing my head off at what had just happened while on the phone with my mom, and Jesse was standing there laughing. Obviously the next part of cleaning everything up was not so much fun....but I was just so happy she was feeling better! After that whole adventure Lucy zonked out! She slept forever just on the couch. I bet she felt so relieved! Poor girl.
Now that that was over...Jesse and I exchanged little gifts and cards, which was fun! We made dinner together and just had a relaxing evening. The day may not have been as romantic as expected, you know, with poop flying everywhere and all, but I got to spend the weekend with my two loves. That is all I need!
Also, we got to reminisce about the last Valentines Day 2015, the day we found out I was pregnant! And now we have a almost four month old baby this time! Crazy.
