Visiting Jesse At Work -- Altitude Chamber and Parachute Training
Lucy and I were already able to visit Jesse at work a couple times! We got to watch them in the altitude chamber and at parachute training. It was fun to see what he gets to do while he is gone all day.
So, the altitude chamber simulates being at altitude and they have to take their oxygen off to teach them what their hypoxic symptoms are so they are aware and can put their masks back on. It was funny to see the guys who went too long and got all hypoxic and loopy. Jesse did a good job at recognizing his symptoms and put his mask back on. He said he started feeling shaky and losing his vision. This career is already not for me...No oxygen? No thank you!
The day of the parachute training it was suuuuper windy! Lucy was a little fussy and not loving the cold, so we didn't last long, but it was neat to watch. Jess has lots of good friends already, so it's fun to get to know them.
It's crazy this was only two weeks in...only 53 more to go! ;) It's gonna be a long and busy next year of our lives!
Lucy sportin' a pony tail to go see her daddy!
That's one handsome pilot! :)
