May Utah Trip Week 1

I have been looking forward to my trip to Utah for months! I came out here specifically for Eliza and Josh's wedding but stayed for an extra week to play with my family! :) I was nervous to fly alone with Lucy, to change her schedule, and to leave Jess for so long. Besides being randomly selected for a pat down and bag search right off the bat at the WF airport, the flying went pretty well. Lucy girl did great, it's just a stressful situation no matter what. Luckily, there are so many nice people that love babies and entertain her and offer to hold her. I was sure grateful! Especially for the nice man next to me who didn't mind bumping elbows while I tried to nurse her...haha! We got in super late, didn't get to the house until like midnight, so Lu was out of it! The kids stayed up to say hi, which made me happy! 

Sadly, the next couple days were pretty hard for Lucy. Her sleep schedule was off, there were all these new people around her all the time, etc. and she just got a little overwhelmed. She wouldn't sleep in the pack n play, she cried SO much (I mean, maybe not for a normal baby, but for Lucy, it was pretty much more in like two days than in her whole life! Poor girl was just fussy and didn't love what was going on!) It took her just about this whole week to get warmed up to everyone and the new schedule. We did find out that she likes (or was just used to, I guess) playing by herself! Any time we were at home by ourselves, she would just sit and talk to herself playing with the toys, happy as a clam. Little loner! ;) Haha, jokes! 

Besides the sad little Lucy, we had a good week! I'll post about the wedding in it's own post, but that was a great day. Then of course hanging out with family, watching shows with Kap and Joe at night, eating treats and at our favorite places, etc. Here's a million pictures of what went on during the first week! :)
