Dallas Temple Day Trip

After living here for 8 months, we finally made it to the temple! It's been strange and difficult not having a temple 15 minutes away like we are used to. The closest temples to us are Oklahoma and Dallas, both about 2 hours away. I have definitely missed having the spirit and clarity in my life that  comes from attending the temple. 

We made a Saturday trip to Dallas to go to the temple, get some lunch at Cheesecake Factory and visit Jesse's family! Jess and I just took turns doing initiatories -- one waited in the lobby with Lucy while the other went in. I was happy to be back in the Lord's house. I came out feeling refreshed and grateful for my little eternal family that was waiting for me. 

After getting some yummy food we stopped by uncle Rink's house to see him and Gracie! It was nice to see family and know that they are just a couple hours away. 

I get excited thinking about all the different temples we will get to see throughout our life thanks to moving around so much. Hopefully we will be able to do work in lots of them! :) 

 Entertaining a baby during dinner at a restaurant isn't always the most fun thing in the world...

 And back home, just like that! :)
