Amarillo for Labor Day Weekend

Jesse randomly sent a text to his family saying, "I have a four day weekend for Labor Day, who wants to come visit?!" ;) To our surprise, Rachel said she wanted to and ended up actually coming! Woohoo! Rachel and Caroline flew into Wichita Falls and spent the evening with us here, then we all drove to Amarillo the next day to go visit Mark and Stephanie.

We had good chats and good treats on the drive there. The babes did pretty good! We visited with Munner for a while before heading to dinner at the Rib Crib. Rachel, myself, and the babies went to our hotel and took a little nap before heading down to the farm for dinner and an evening walk! I LOVED walking around the land; the weather was perfect and the sky was so pretty. I felt so happy, there with my wonderful husband, perfect daughter, and family. It was fun to be with Rach, Mark, and Steph! We had a yummy spaghetti dinner...which turned into a bit of a dance party. Just how I like my nights to end! ;)

On Sunday we hung out at the farm, went to the mall, had lunch and ice cream, visited Munner, then had a bbq back at the farm with some of the cousins!

After breakfast and saying goodbye Monday morning, we headed back home! We had a yummy dinner then a relaxing night of treats and shows after the babies went to sleep. It was so nice being able to hang out with Rachel and Caroline! We love having visitors! On Tuesday Rachel and I went  for a walk, hung out at the house, ran to the store, then had lunch with Jesse before taking them to the airport.

Vacation time always goes too fast! We sure were sad to see them go, but so happy they were able and willing to come visit us. See you again soon, Rach and Care bear!! :)

Side note to remember...so many funny hotel things! Me, Rachel and the babies slept at the hotel, and Jesse slept at the farm with his dad. But the first night we barely got any sleep because my bed was SOOOO squeaky. And of course Lucy woke up a lot so I was in and out of the bed and rolling over a lot...which was so loud! We couldn't stop laughing about it. Luckily we were able to trade rooms for the next night and slept much better with a non-squeaking bed. :)

The start of the four day weekend....drop night!
Lucy must have known her cousin was coming because she woke up supppper early all ready to party!
Hooray!
