Finding Out About Baby #2

The morning of November 17th, a few days after my projected period date, I decided to take a pregnancy test. I had taken a negative one just three days prior so I wasn't expecting anything...then a few minutes later....PREGNANT! I couldn't believe it! I was at home with just Lucy and told her she was going to be a big sister and she had no idea what was happening, obviously ;) 

This was the day of the spouse taxi at ENJJPT so I had to go be with Jesse all day and not say anything so he could focus on his own flights and everything. Finally after waiting what felt like forever he came home and I was able to surprise him! :) 

We thought we were crazy for starting to think about a second baby when Lucy was only 6 months old (okay, mostly Jesse was seriously thinking about it, not so much me!) Around Lucy being 9/10 months we had been praying for a while and decided as a couple that it was time to just stop preventing. A few short months later, just two weeks after Lucy's first birthday, we found out about baby #2! We were surprised and excited all at once! Let the fun begin! :) 

 So, I had no idea what to do to tell Jesse, so here's my really clever way of telling him..."Lucy" drew him a little picture to welcome him home after having a long day :) I had the camera set up so I could get Jesse's reaction and boy am I glad I did! He was so confused... he was like..."ohh, cuuuuute, thanks Luce...." hahaha, then finally realized there was a little extra member of the family there. Priceless moment after that :)
