Oceanside: Part 4

The last couple days of the trip!

Always a little stressed about the sand on her hands
All was well...
Until it wasn't! I let her go too far by herself and a little wave just knocked her over and covered her whole body. My instincts kicked in and I got her out of the water so fast! And, apparently, my dad thought he would take pictures instead of help ;)
Poor girl had sand EVERYWHERE and was freezing!
Quiet, chill, relaxing game time, more playing in the sand, then glow sticks outside after dinner.

Another rainy day at the beach! A day full of walking along the beach, naps, yummy food, games, then all the siblings went out to dinner together while Grandma and Poppa watched the kids. We got to the restaurant we had picked, sat down, and after a few minutes of looking at the menu realized it was a little strange and none of us wanted to eat there. So, what did we do? Got up and left, of course. Haha! The second restaurant was a better choice! :)
Snack and snuggle break

Our last full vacation day was a good one. The sun finally decided to shine a little bit, so we got to play outside all day. Then we took a trip to the harbor and walked around, grabbed dinner at a yummy Mexican place, then let the kids go crazy at the beach. I loved spending this day with my family and sweet daughter.
Listening to Poppa's stories :)
Keeping her entertained with Sing at dinner
She was a complete disaster by the end of it, but she was happy as can be.

We had to check out of our house quite a bit earlier than our (mine, Tasha, Mom&Dad) flights took off, so after everyone else started their drives home, we had some time to kill. We visited the beautiful San Diego temple where the girls loved running around and sniffing the flowers. Then we checked out the Mormon Battalion museum where the kids got to play some more. Lunch at In n Out then off to the airport. We got Tasha off on her flight then my dear parents got me all the way to my gate and waited with me until me and Lucy got on our flight. They were so helpful, I can't even tell you. Lucy survived the flight on my lap (yes...sat on my lap with my big giant belly, haha, real comfy) and we finally made it home back to dad!
 Everyone was a liiiitttle tired....haha!

I am so grateful to my parents for providing such a wonderful, relaxing vacation for our entire family. I love spending time all together as a family so much. Even if it was a little exhausting taking care of Lucy on a vacation with a big ol pregnant belly. I am happy I got that one on one time with her. So, hooray for a great trip to Oceanside, CA! :)
