Utah Week 5: August 20th-26th
The week started off great, as usual, but this is when things started to go downhill...
Growing up, and during our time in Orem/Provo, I LOVED Sundays with my family. Church, yummy dinner, and just hanging out talking or playing games. So I was super happy to be apart of all the Sunday traditions again for all these weeks. Charlie was stoked too, obviously ;) Snuggling with aunt Mir!
On August 21st, 2017 there was a Solar Eclipse! I joined Karrissa and the kids at their friends house to watch it. It was actually pretty cool, and weird. It was slightly darker and colder for quite a while.
Fun at Mumzy and Papa's!
I didn't realize how cross-eyed he is until this picture...;)
Nighttime ritual with grandma and Lucy. Sitting on the rocking chairs, probably looking for planes, aka daddy.
Jesse finally made it home just in time to be there for the movers to pack up our house!
Mir, Kap, Joe, and I went to Hill and Mike's new house to check it out and hang out for a bit. Cafe Rio for lunch and had the kids play! So fun.
First they're sweet...
And then they're sour!
Ready for our workout in the park!
Maybe he was dreaming he was shaking somebody's hand...
Lucy played at Mumzy's house while we had an adult dinner at P.F. Changs
I've always told Lucy that daddy is gone at work, flying planes, so any plane she sees she thinks it's dad. Here is Lucy and Poppa looking at the airplanes flying in the in the night sky...she would point and say "dada!"
This is when things got real fun...I started experiencing some strange lower abdomen pain. Like, debilitating pain. After it not going away, and worried it might be my appendix, my mom and me and Charlie went to a local instacare, where the doc there sent us to the ER at Utah Valley. After some tests, pain meds, and a few hours, we were sent home telling me to come back if it gets any worse.
Karrissa was awesome and watched Lucy for me
Miranda picked up Lucy from Karrissa and had her play at her house for a bit. So we went to visit and pick Luc up.
Poor Jillbo just taking one for the team...
Well, the pain continued in my lower abdomen and spread to my back, where my kidneys are. I was sure I had a kidney stone or something. It was some of the worst pain I have felt! So, Kim took the kids and my mom and I headed back to the ER. I hate going...it's the worst. But I didn't know what else to do. After a very rude and arrogant doctor told me I had the stomach flu and would send me with pain meds, we asked for a different doctor who ordered some more tests. All tests were negative and we were sent home. So frustrating. That night I was still in so much pain, just rolling on the floor. Then luckily it started going away because what came next was lots of fun...
Missed a few feedings.....
That night I hear Lucy wake up crying so I went in her room and as soon as I picked her up she puked all over me! Oh no. Stomach flu. Some of the Winward cousins had a stomach bug earlier that week. The rest of the night was switching out sheets, holding the bucket for her, and saying so many prayers, haha! Poor girl threw up probably 10 separate times. I felt so bad!
Luckily my mom is the best and took care of Charlie all night/morning for me.
A few hours into the morning and she was feeling so much better! Until she played too hard and exhausted herself. Luckily no more barf though!
