Christmas 2017
This was our first Christmas holiday spent alone as our little family. Jesse was only given 4 days, including the weekend, off of work for the holiday. The price of tickets and energy it takes to get to Utah, just didn't feel worth it. So, as sad as I was to be missing out on all the family traditions and spending time with both sides of our family, we tried our best to make this a special year!
Christmas Eve:
Thankfully we were all feeling well enough to go enjoy sacrament meeting on Christmas Eve Sunday. Naps and a walk to the park, helped us feel like we were back to normal. We had a yummy ham and cheesy potato dinner, gave the kids a bath, opened Christmas pjs, read some Christmas books, then got the kids in bed and finished setting up the presents!
Baby boy still is a little congested, so snuggles with mommy it is!
Not as fancy as at my mom's house...but it was pretty tasty!
Christmas Day:
Christmas was simple, quiet, and sweet. Lucy had lots of fun opening her presents then playing with them all day! Jess and I got some fun gifts, including a new computer from my parents! We loved being able to just focus on our kids all day. We FaceTimed both families, which made us miss them a little. But we had a good simple day eating cinnamon rolls, playing with toys, watching shows, etc together.
